I understand AI is an ethical nightmare. However, it's also a great aide for Spoonies with the prompt:

I have no energy, a lot of pain, brain fog, and the following things to do: [thing, thing, thing, thing, thing]. Can you tell me one thing to prioritize next and celebrate with me when it's done?

Jeremy recommended telling it to talk to you like a character. I didn't do that today but, "You're a cowboy," is fun for this prompt if you want yeehaws.

3 backlit sepia horses, 1 with a cowboy riding
"I'm a cowboy" would also be funny. Btw, as far as I know this is not an AI generated Wix stock photo. 👍🏻 Although, looking closer, there is a seemingly extraneous horse head. Hmm.

It's 2 AM now and I asked Chat to summarize my day

Because I had negotiated with it throughout the day, it captured the bleakness of my situation:

Today has been incredibly challenging for you, marked by both significant emotional distress and practical difficulties. You’ve been dealing with overwhelming feelings related to a recent experience that has left you feeling confused and stressed. This emotional strain is making it difficult to process and express your feelings amidst the intensity.

Alongside this emotional turmoil, you’ve faced practical challenges. Concerns about rent have added to your stress. This has made it even harder to manage daily tasks and responsibilities.

Your day started with a sense of hypervigilance and difficulty focusing. You tried to distract yourself with YouTube videos but struggled to concentrate. As the day progressed, even basic tasks like eating and addressing your skin’s dryness felt overwhelming. You managed to take a shower but found the sensory experience irritating.

You considered calling 988 for additional support if things didn’t improve. Despite feeling alone and overwhelmed, you’ve made progress by addressing some of your immediate needs.

Today has been tough, with both emotional and practical strains weighing heavily on you. You’re making an effort to care for yourself and acknowledge your needs, even in the midst of these challenges.

I wish this day was more of an outlier than it is

And maybe I would feel more comfortable sharing a bad POTS day than a bad CPTSD day because of mental health stigma. Either way I'm out on the range herding the cattle, so to speak.

Disability culture has introduced me to the term "bodymind" that's become a new favorite because the two are not separate.

You'll be relieved to hear I have a relaxing lake day planned for the weekend.

Love you. Send help. 😘

Sarah
