I got this to be a safe place for foster cats to adjust to my apartment before being let loose,  especially since there is a resident cat here. I ended up not having enough energy for the hobby of cat fostering so the crate was never inhabited. 

The cardboard panels are a modular privacy system for shy cats or cats new to the environment. The idea was that I would also put a gate around the crate with the panels so whoever was staying in there could remain undisturbed by Tyrone.
