Wrapping Up June: A Step Forward

I have some wonderful news to share!

Thanks to a generous donation, July's rent is covered.

This has lifted a huge weight off my shoulders and has provided some much-needed stability in these challenging times.

Housing is the foundation for everything else, and knowing that my rent is taken care of allows me to focus on meeting my other basic needs. While there are still hurdles to overcome, I can now work towards addressing these with a bit more peace of mind. (And finding August's rent...)

Ending June with $1,810 raised of the $4,000 goal.

I've switched to taking the bus and parked my car at Jeff and Hannah's to save the cost of the parking spot.

I applied for a training benefits program to possibly extend my unemployment benefits and am working with a vocational counselor.

I'm bringing my laundry to other people's houses to avoid the paid machines here.

I found a co-pay sponsor to put their card on file at the clinic where most of my doctors are so Debra at the front desk won't look at me that way anymore.

The next pickup day for my by-donation sale of my belongings is next Saturday, July 5 for those out and about for the holiday weekend.
